Muncie Arts and Tradition Council, PlySpace, get Countrywide Endowment for the Arts grant

MUNCIE, Ind. —The Muncie Arts and Culture Council has been awarded a $10,000 grant by the Nationwide Endowment for the Arts.

The NEA awarded over $88 million in grants, the second spherical for 2021, in accordance to a release from the NEA.

The MACC celebrates and supports local arts & culture and is the specified ArtsPartner for the Town of Muncie.

The grant is part of NEA’s Grants for Artwork Tasks, the primary grant group that supports community engagement and development of art in communities, in accordance to the release.

The $10,000 grant will be made use of “to guidance an artist residency application at PlySpace in Muncie, Indiana. PlySpace gives artists with momentary housing, workspace, and stipends. Each individual resident artist will acquire and current a job in collaboration with a neighborhood nonprofit serving the Muncie neighborhood,” according to the NEA.

10 grants full had been awarded to businesses in Indiana totaling $1,003,900. MACC was the sole grant awarded in the Muncie area.
